In the workshop today: This is the Pukka Teas promotional Airstream that we are creating ready to go on the road this summer promoting the brand and serving delicious tea.
Here you can see the new aluminium interior being fitted inside the Airstream:
Our professional floor laying team arrive to lay the new health and safety flooring.
The recently finished Apollo 70 Airstream Bar has been fitted with coloured mood lights and a twinkling ‘starry ceiling’ plus colour changing lights around the outside of the serving hatch. These lights create different moods for different events and also look spectacular as they reflect off of the highly polished interior and exterior of the Airstream.
The Weber Airstream has come in for a service and a good polish up after a summer of touring the UK demonstrating Weber’s fab range of barbecues to a hungry British public. What a wonderful load of sunshine they’ve had this year – here’s hoping next summer will be the same.
In the ARC workshop today – we’re working on lots of interesting projects at the moment – new under floor heating is being laid in one Airstream and elsewhere in the workshop a client has come to see Darren to see how things are progressing with his bar Airstream project which is rapidly moving forward – watch this space for more details!
We are very proud to have our Weber Exprience Roadshow Airstream featured in this month’s edition of Land Rover World magazine. You can read a taster of the article here but to read the full piece you’ll have to buy the magazine!
In the absence of a huge American truck, we find that most of our customers prefer to use a Land Rover to tow their Airstream with, once they leave our workshop. Here at ARC we use a Land Rover Discovery and many of our customers – such as Dan from Weber – use a Land Rover Defender, as the article explains:
“Originally the ‘Weber Experience’ roadshow was lugged around the country with a Shogun but, as head chef and driver Dan Cooper stated, it just never felt up to the job and a few scary handling moments on long hills made them rethink their towing vehicle options.
“Thankfully they opted for a Defender 110 and even in a totally unmodified form it performs flawlessly. Dan recalls “most of the time you don’t even know you have a massive ‘van like this behind you.”

In the workshop today – some more snaps of the Doom Bar Airstream which is pretty much finished. Hopefully we’ll be having a pro shoot of this one in all it’s glory before it goes off to work.
In the Arc Workshop today – work is really progressing on the Doom Bar Airstream and now the taps are in you can really start to imagine how the finished trailer is going to look. Darren and the boys have been busy wiring in all of the electrics and lights and fitting the work surfaces and dark blue interior.
In the workshop today: The Doom Bar Airstream project is really starting to take shape – with a serving hatch and bar area, work tops and storage and kitchen area.
In the workshop today – we’re starting another exciting new project! We can’t tell you who it’s for yet, but this Airstream is going to be getting a lot of TLC and the full American Retro Caravans treatment as we transform it into a super-stylish Airstream bar
Today we’ve got some more pics of Cafe Airstream in action at Hevy Fest. Dom and Alan who own the Airstream are passionate about serving high quality food and have just won several Great Taste Awards for some of their dishes for the second year running.
Here Alan prepares the food from scratch in the big shiny kitchen
