Moby has returned to Dorset again for a summer break with his owners and some Airstreaming friends – here are some snaps his owners sent us, wish you were here?
In the workshop today: this 1950’s Airstream is being carefully renovated and features an original Airstream sink and taps.
There are a mixture of vintage and modern fittings on the bathroom cupboard:
The brand new window pelmets are handmade in brushed steel:
Here you can see the whaletail shape from the inside, with new modern downlighters
Last week our brilliant photographer Jeremy Phillips popped back to visit customers Bernard and Sue Fontannaz, owners of the Lava Lamp Airstream to take some pictures of it in situ at their home in Oxfordshire. This Airstream is going to be featured in a TV series on Micro Design on Channel 4.
In the workshop today – as you probably know, we don’t just restore and repair Airstream caravans, we also store them and transport them for our clients. Today this Airstream, which you may recognise from previous blog posts, is being brought out of storage, spruced up and delivered to our client, Marcus Brigstocke, who is performing at Latitude Festival this weekend. We’ve given it a quick polish and plumped up the cushions and now it’s heading off down the motorway to Suffolk. With luxury camping like this, it doesn’t matter what the weather is doing for Marcus this weekend as he’ll be dry and warm in his new Airstream – make sure your friends take their muddy boots off before they come in, Marcus.
